2 1/2 MRI's and a Baby

On my first night in the hospital the staff wanted to check on the baby so they called in an OB doctor and did an ultra sound. They checked the spine an d the normalcy of its body parts. While checking the Dr asked us if we wanted to know the gender. We answered with an enthusiastic Yes. She told us our  baby was going to be a healthy boy. Stephen was delighted and my suspicions were confirmed. I remember laying on the regular bed as Stephen and I though t of names for our baby boy.

At one point Stephen listed off baseball player's names as suggestions for our baby. I shot down quite a few but gave a maybe to one name.

As Stephen rushed me to my late night MRI he promised I could name the baby anything I wanted. I stuck with Nolan.

 To keep tabs on the baby they called down a labor and delivery nurse to get his heartbeat. Hearing his heartbeat every day was a big perk.
